#VlogMom: Really Scary Stuff

My friend, Amy… wait, that’s wrong. My good friend Amy (@amymchodges) from A Million Boxes, who is oh-so-devilishly funny and creative, came up with this week’s VlogMom prompt.

So even if I was too stressed out to do anything this week, I knew I could let loose and have a good time with Amy’s prompt. The problem is it was really hard. I get scared of things all the time but the way she worded the prompt was very clever:

“What’s the last thing you did that scared you? (either it scared you and you did it anyway, or you did something and it unexpectedly scared you)”

And here’s my longer than usual response. It’s a quick story and involves Disney. Now you have to listen!

So what scared you so much recently? Tell me or link up with your own video.

Definitely sounds scary to me too, but I think like you I’d have to at least try it. Not sure I’m taking the kids anytime soon, mine are timid *LOL*

The trick is not to tell them what’s coming ;)

Love it! Great post. That’s awesome that Evan did it with you the following year.

    • FadraN

Yes, he did it! But I seriously doubt he will ever do it again. BTW, I took him on at his request.

Uggg, I don’t do heights really either and FREE FALL?  Forget it.  It’s seriously my worst thought. (ok maybe not my worst, but you know what I mean.) Blech.  Proud of you!

    • FadraN

Yeah,  you won’t catch me skydiving in this lifetime.

OMG a 3 year old at Disney??!! SCARY!!

    • FadraN

When you have a stroller and lots of sugar, you can keep a 3 year old happy for hours.

I haven’t taken the kids to Disney yet but I don’t know if I could do the Tower of Terror alone!

    • FadraN

I psyche myself out because I hate the feeling of NOT doing something when I had the chance. Sometimes I think I’d rather just live with the fear!

ok wow. I would NOT do that.  *shudder* way to go my friend!

I never did get a chance to go on that ride when we were there 6 years ago.  I’m sure I would screamed bloody murder right along with you.  Who screamed more the second time around, you or your son?  :)

  • Melissa_FillingOurBucket

I love Tower of Terror. But I still scream bloody murder the entire time I ride it. ;)

I felt my heart drop with you recounting your experience. I think my son would never forgive me. He’s been on a couple of rides and the only one he was fond of was that one that made me feel green so I guess we are even.

Great vlog! We are going there in November…wondering if my 6YO will do this with me? Freaks me out too!
