It’s conference season for me. I’m in Charlotte, North Carolina for the Type-A Parent Conference and having an amazing time (more to come on that next week). I’ll be heading to BlogHer in August. Not only does that give me a ample content for this blog but it also gives me the opportunity to listen and tell stories wherever I go.
Today’s (Optional) Writing Prompt: What are the stories of your life that you love to tell people when you have a chance?
Here we go…

How often do you get a chance to tell your life story? And when you do, how long does it take?
I’ve been away at a blogging conference all weekend (Type-A Parent Conference, to be exact). While I plan to spend plenty of time writing about how fab it’s been, I’m proud that I was able to follow through on my goals for conferences going forward.
Here it is: I love to hang out, have a few drinks, go to parties, and all that good stuff. But whta I’ve been missing is the personal connection. The quality over quantity. And I’ve had a lot more real conversations at this conference.
One of my favorite moments came tonight when I sat down with Caitlin (@caitm from Mabel’s Labels) and we ended up chatting about love and babies and marriage, not necessarily in that order. We chatted about being mom to boys and how hard it is to answer questions for little boys and when you just need to call in a male influencer.
But what we really talked about was my love story. The story about how Sean and I met and were engaged 3 months later and married 3 months after that. It was a whirlwind, magical story that I love to talk about (and have written about) and when Caitlin asked to hear it, I gladly obliged,
What about your story?
