Cleaning Up Our Very Messy Family of Three

I’ve never been able to understand how our house is so messy all the time. And for once, I’m not talking about clutter (because that’s always lurking in my house).

I’m talking about mess. Our mess could be dust on the furniture, stains on the carpet, spills on the counter, or dirt everywhere and anywhere. And don’t even get me started on the bathrooms (I’m the only female in the house so you can probably guess where I’m coming from).

So our little family of three is always prepared to clean up those messes because we buy our cleaning supplies in bulk. Every month or so, we head to Costco to stock up on what we need and what new miracle might finally make my house clean.

Fadra in Costco

Look! It’s really me! In Costco!

And on this particular trip, I decided it was time to grab a mega pack of Swiffer Dry refills because I have a lonely little Swiffer mop just sitting there. And if I actually put it to work, I might be able to clear out the dust on my hardwood floors under every single piece of furniture.

Then, I turned and saw Mr. Clean Magic Eraser winking at me. I love my Magic Eraser more than I can say. That burned-on spill on the stove? Magic Eraser. The dirty fingerprints by every single lightswitch and doorjamb? Magic Eraser. The sticky goo on the granite countertops that you can’t see? Magic Eraser. And with the Costco price, I decided Mr. Clean Magic Eraser was better in bulk.

After this latest trip, it became immediately obvious to me that all of our favorite cleaning products actually come from P&G from Costco. So I also added in Cascade Complete Action Pacs and Bounty Advanced.

P&G Household Needs products from Costco

As you can see, we take our P&G Household Needs products very seriously.

Goofing off with P&G

As I was picking out all my favorite cleaning products, I have to admit that I got carried away, like I usually do, at Costco. Before I knew it, I picked up essentials like organic milk and bottled water and quinoa tortilla chips and macadamia nuts and new towels and potstickers – OMG THE POTSTICKERS.

Overflowing Costco cart

Let’s just say it was free sample day at Costco and I was feeling vulnerable.

Once I reached home, I began to bring my haul into the house (women are known to be the hunter-gatherers, right?) and I paused as I brought in my all-time favorite. And yes, it’s okay to have a favorite.

It’s the Bounty Advanced paper towel which has the strongest and most durable* sheets ever.

*when wet vs. National Bounty Original.

This is important because my family, being as messy as it is, uses a tremendous amount of Bounty Advanced paper towels. So much so, that I thought I’d take the time to write a letter to Mr. Bounty.

But there were a few paper towel uses that I didn’t show in the video. Because I forgot to include the other four members of our household that contribute to the mess: our two cats and two dogs. If you have pets, you know what I’m saying.

So how does our little family of three get so messy? I’ve finally figured it out. We’ve invited four little furry friends into the house that never clean up after themselves. Luckily, we cut them some slack because we’ve got it covered.
