Talking Cats and Slow News

I find that Friday is one of the slowest days on the internet (second only to Saturday because hopefully people are enjoying some fresh air – you know, OUTSIDE). My email slows down. My Twitter stream slows down. Most people are done writing and promoting for the week and gearing up for the weekend.

I thought it would be a perfect time to show a gratuitous talking cat video.

I’ve told you about my fat cat Josie before. But I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned that she’s a talking cat. I guess it’s not so much that she talks. She announces.

She jumps up on the bed with a meow for no reason other than to let me know she’s jumped up on the bed.

She circles my feet meowing like an insane cat when clearly I have the cat food in my hand and I am about to place it in her bowl.

She gives the tiniest meows on her way down the stairs. Usually about one meow per stair.

And once she’s announced herself and she’s done with us, she’s gone in a flash. It’s amazing how fast her fat furry butt can move.

So today, I’m giving you a break from politics and football and whatever else is circling the internet and presenting to you:

Josie the Talking Cat

Please to enjoy and share. She’s no Maru but she’s my little internet sensation.

  1. Thank you for showcasing Josie. What a persistent girl she is! I love that her purr volume seems to be stuck on high!

I also wrote about my cat talking in my latest blog post! Of course mine only talks in my dreams, and it is in English!

What a refreshing change from the news!

    • Oh, yes. Her purr is off the charts. While I was out of town, my neighbor was watching her and sent me an audio clip of that sound!

  2. Awww, she is hilarious and awesome. She reminds me of Nom Nom, our cat that we passed on to my mom recently so she wouldn’t be lonely. I miss him! Bobby’s been hinting that he might be willing to adopt another kitty … sooooo tempted.

  3. Pretty girl!! She is awesome. Our cat starts meowing like a maniac around 5:30 every night until we give her wet food, which she only gets in the evening. And then she dances around our feet meowing up a storm until we put the bowl down for her. She’s a very loud kitty. Josie rocks!

    • Josie will meow like crazy and then eat a few bites of her food and walk away. But she does love her endless supply of chow!!

  4. I have a fat furry orange tabby cat named Julius who is a talking cat as well. Each morning he gives me the “morning report”. I vow to one day video him!
