Yes, Seed Shaving Bar gives you sexy legs and I totally stooped to an attention-grabbing headline. Did it work?
The truth is that I AM going to show you my legs but whether or not they are sexy is probably a call my husband will have to make.
(For the record, he likes them).
I have to admit that if I had to pick one body part I liked, it would be my legs. No matter how much weight I gain or how little sleep I’ve had, my calves stay slim and actually look pretty good. So why don’t I take better care of them?
WARNING: I’m about to talk about shaving my legs so if you happen to be a man reading this, prepare yourself, BUT DON’T GO AWAY. This concerns you too.
I’ll admit that I’m lazy when it comes to taking care of my skin. My face gets all the attention but the rest of my body suffers. I don’t exfoliate like I should. I don’t moisturize like I should. And I don’t shave like I should.
That doesn’t mean I walk around with hairy legs. It just means that I use soap and water and a disposable razor. GASP!
For that reason, I was actually intrigued when Rebecca Gournay from (seed) body care asked me if I’d like to try their Seed shaving bar.
The email came with this subject:
“Smooth, Healthy Legs AND NO RUST RING! Are you in?”
Apparently, in the U.S., we use 4.3 billion aerosol cans (and that includes those cans of shaving cream). I’m quite sure these don’t always get recycled. But for me, the whole rust ring thing isn’t a problem because, like I mentioned above, I’m lazy and just use soap and water.
Because I’m a fan of Seed already, I wanted to try it out but the benefit for me was that I could still be a bit lazy and perhaps get smoother, softer legs. Want to know what I think? What I really think?
You probably can’t tell in the photo but my Seed shaving bar leg was softer and smoother and my soap leg was pale and dry. So my verdict?
I LOVED IT!
Here’s why I loved it:
- It’s soap but it lathers up into a rich and creamy foam
- It doesn’t completely cloud up your water if you’re taking a bath
- It’s cheap (about $4.95 per bar)
- You can order easily online
Now, if you’re a guy, you’re thinking, WOW! I should try this on my face! Yes, you should!
But I will tell you I already made my husband do that. He tried it and found that it wasn’t quite lathery enough for his preference for shaving. I can’t confirm or deny if he did a good job working it up into a lather but I thought I’d share his honest opinion.
It’s fine with me. I’ll gladly keep the Seed shaving bar for myself. And no rust ring.

Yep. Added to my Harris Teeter list. Thanks Fadra!
So awesome that it’s readily available!
Hey thanks for showing me a picture of those sexy legs! For me it was on par with other shaving products which is actually a good endorsement. That being said ladies if you are shaving with regular soap that is just crazy. I did it once when I was out of shaving cream and it really does not protect your skin like this bar will.
I don’t like shaving cream but I will totally use this bar. And thanks for the compliment on the legs. I put that picture in there just for you 😉
Ooh! Rust ring is totally a problem in our shower. I had to start storing my shaving cream upside down so the plastic is what comes in contact with the shower shelf.
You totally need to try this. It’s cheap and you can get it at Harris Teeter!
