Hi. Remember me? I’m not that girl that heads to a major blogging conference only to forget about the one reason she’s there: her blog. But my timing was a little off. And I forgot to do my post. However, what you’re getting is a true Sunday morning oh-my-God-I-just-woke-up 5 minutes brain dump. And it’s my first official post-BlogHer post.
It’s 8:39 am. I’m in San Diego. I did not publish my post. I was asked yesterday if I was going to publish an SOC Sunday post and I said Of Course!! It’s only 5 minutes. And then I wake up to the tweets that maybe I was having too good a time to write.
Ironic, isn’t it? A blogger goes to BlogHer and forgets about her blog. Actually, I didn’t forget. But in the middle of the madness that is BlogHer, you have a hard time believing that if anyone actually reads your blog they are probably here at the conference.
I’m not one of those party til you puke kind of gals but I was definitely up late. I think I went to bed sometime around 2am which kills me to think that it’s really 5am back home. I know I’m going to be sort of screwed with the time change.
Every night when I was ready to go to sleep, I thought, I’ll just go to this party and this party and just push through the fatigue.
Let me tell you – these are the longest 2 days of my life. No one can even remember what day it is. (Clearly).
In the end, this self-professed non-hugger became a complete hugger with everyone I met. As I was hoping but couldn’t possibly plan, it was the accidental/incidental meetings that made me feel, once again, I am where I belong. And that I probably need to do a better job of scheduling my posts 🙂
