Remember that the happiest people are not those getting more, but those giving more.
– H. Jackson Brown, Jr.
It may sound corny but I love the idea of giving. I try to be generous year-round but it’s around the holidays that I feel especially generous. I find things that are perfect for someone and without even looking at the price, I throw it in my shopping cart. This normally frugal girl becomes a consumer dream this time of year.
The other thing I tend to be generous with is my advice. That usually comes for free, even when it’s not wanted. Just the other day, I stopped a woman in the store as she was walking out with her newly purchased vacuum. When I asked her about it, she got a panicked look on her face as if I was going to tell her she just made a horrible decision. Instead, I told her how I had a similar vacuum and I loved it!
Likewise, I talk about clothes and makeup and hair when I’m out visiting friends. Yes, I’m a total girl.
I think it’s because I’ve always struggled with my hair that when I find a product I like, I want to share it with others. A few weeks ago, I introduced you to the new Goody Clean Radiance brush. Since receiving this brush, I’ve become like Marcia Brady brushing my locks every night to get them as smooth and as shiny as her hair was.
I guess the dreams of my 1970s youth die hard.
Anyway, back to the task at hand. Giving, beautiful hair, free advice. I’ve got it all.

With a good hair brush and some dry shampoo, I can really extend a blow out by a few days. I use a Goody hair brush with natural bristles!
