All of the following products were sent to me for editorial consideration. Affiliate links are also included below.
Women can be so difficult to buy for, especially if you know a woman that likes unusual gifts (like me). That’s why I’ve put together several unusual stocking stuffer ideas for women – whether it’s your mother, your wife, your girlfriend, or your daughter (or even your boss!).
While some people are busy decking out their homes for Christmas, I’m still shopping Halloween clearance but there are plenty of people actively doing there Christmas shopping NOW. I envy you people.
I’m definitely a last minute shopper but I like to buy a lot of little things for the people in my life. In fact, I know some people that only do stocking stuffers for other adults during the holidays. They’ll stuff stockings with gift cards, iPods, and other high dollar items.
That’s a bit fancier than the random candy I usually throw in our stockings. But I like the idea of doing something not only unique but also with wellness in mind.
I’m working with several companies that have great options for stocking stuffer ideas for women (or even for under the tree)
Moroccan Magic Organic Lip Balm
If you’re looking for natural beauty products (and you should be) and you happen to be a bit obsessed with lip balm (like me), you’ll want to check out Moroccan Magic Organic Lip Balm. They sent me this sampler pack and it’s been sitting on my desk for weeks. I’ve been trying a different flavor every day!
What I like: It’s organic, cruelty-free, women-owned, goes on super smooth, leaves your lips feeling soft, adds a hint of gloss, and has fresh scents (my favorites are Lavender Vanilla and Lemon Thyme)
SOPHi Nail Polish
I’m easing my way into natural beauty products but one area that I don’t compromise is nail polish. I recently threw out every brand I owned that wasn’t free of harsh chemicals, like SOPHi Nail Polish. What I’ve been wearing is touted as 7 Free (free from the 7 harshest chemicals) but SOPHi is free of ALL harsh chemicals.
What I like: This is an advanced water-based formula that’s virtually odorless. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan. And using the PRIME + SHINE + SEAL System will protect your nails and keep the polish in place.
The Pocket Palette
Let’s say you’re out and about sans makeup and you suddenly have a meeting to attend. Or you’re traveling and don’t want to haul all your makeup with you. Or it’s your wedding day and you want little makeup touchups for your wedding party.
Those are just some of the scenarios for The Pocket Palette, a cute little travel makeup kit that literally fits in your purse. It has the essentials: BB cream (for your face), mascara (for your eyes), and lip/cheek (for, you guessed it, your lips and/or cheeks).
What I like: You can order the Pocket Palettes in 4 skin tones: light, medium, tan, and dark. I’m not sure what I had but the BB Cream looked great on me! The mascara added a little extra and while I didn’t love the pink lip/cheek color, it’s neutral enough that it would totally work in a pinch. (I also think this would be perfect for the little girls in your life that want to play around with a little makeup!)
A Noel Creates Art – Kinks, Perms & Afros Coloring Book
Andréa A. Noel is the artist behind A Noel Creates Art, a site where she sells her bold style of prints. But she offers a coloring book celebrating black women’s hair as a way to infuse art into your life. Whether you’re an adult that enjoying coloring as a stress reliever or you want to provide something for little girls that “celebrates the sophisticated changeability of Black women’s hair,” her coloring book is full of 30 hand drawn designs.
What I like: I grew up with Barbie coloring books, which technically you can color in every shade of a Crayola box. But this coloring book reflects images that both women and girls might identify with and be drawn too.
Aunt Lucy’s Hot Toddy Mix
For the sake of research, I made myself a hot toddy using Aunt Lucy’s Hot Toddy Mix but to be fair, I am nursing a cold. Although the addition of whiskey is optional (my Irish mother-in-law swears by it), I added a little bit of rum and declared it the most delicious, drinkable hot toddy I’ve ever had.
Even if you’re not sick, you can sip on this warm drink that’s full of powerful antioxidants and other health benefits – cinnamon has anti-inflammatory properties; honey helps to soothe a sore throat; lemon is good for heart health and digestion.
What I like: It’s easy to make – just add water to the powdered mix. Optionally you can add liquor. Whiskey is traditionally used but I found run worked just fine. And it was delicious!
CompletEats Plant-Based Protein Cookie
If coffee can make you smarter, imagine what a cookie can do for you! Seriously, though, the CompletEats cookies are considered superfood cookies – full of plant-based ingredients that designed to make you feel better because you’re eating better. These vegan cookies are available in a variety of flavors like Chocolate Chia, Banana Bread, and Cherry Almond.
What I like: I got to sample the Chocolate Chia and the Peppermint Cacao Chip (special for the holidays) cookies. They don’t taste like your average cookies but they are dense and filling. And I highly recommend the Peppermint Cacao Chip cookie!
Grow Fragrances
While we’re focused on plant-based products, let’s talk about a more natural way to freshen up the house (or couch or car). Grow Fragrance is an air and fabric freshener made from certified 100% plant-based ingredients. And they don’t contain the harsh chemicals that are found in typical air fresheners.
What I like: The fragrance is subtle, not overwhelming. And it doesn’t smell like a bottle of chemicals. It smells like the actual scent listed on the package. My personal favorite is Black Currant Rose but most of these (especially Lavender Blossom) would be great on your pillow before bed.
ZizzyBee Bags
If you’ve made it this far in the list, then it’s clear that you, like me, are trying to live better. Better food, better environment, better choices. And you probably are looking to reduce your use of plastics. ZizzyBee Bags are designed to be used for anything you might use a plastic zipper bag for. They’re great for storage or even for traveling (the loop on the end makes it easy to hang the bag).
What I like: They’re colorful, durable, well-made and useful in almost any room of the house. And they come in large and small sizes.
Kinsho Lunch Tote
Admittedly, this one won’t fit in a stocking. But it’s a useful gift for any woman that packs her lunch or has to keep snacks in tow for the family. Kinsho Kitchen is known for their Bento boxes but their lunch tote takes snack packing a step further. If you want to take multiple meals into work, you can pack and snack and keep them flat. And there’s still plenty of room in this insulated tote for drinks, fruit, and other snacks.
What I like: When I worked in an office, I could never find a lunch tote that would hold more than a sandwich. I love the idea of meal prepping and bringing your food with you.
Here’s a secret for you. These don’t all have to go into a stocking. Although these are unusual stocking stuffer ideas for women, they can be wrapped and placed under the tree for anyone. Or given for Mother’s Day or a birthday.
But my favorite gift idea is to deliver these products the way they were sent to me – all nicely tucked inside the Lunch Tote. Holiday shopping complete!
