Looking for gifts for entertainment lovers? I’ve got you covered because I AM ONE!
In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve become a little more obsessed with entertainment lately. I’ve actually been obsessed with entertainment for a long time but kind of reached a point in my life where I stopped making time for it.
Usually when there’s a gap in my viewing habits, it’s because something major has come along: college, a baby, the internet. But I’m past all of those things. Well, except the internet. That just helps feed my obsession.
So if you have a few fangirls, fanguys, entertainment addicts in your life, I’ve got a few gifts for entertainment lovers that I’d like to recommend to make your holiday shopping a little easier.
Streamers Unite
Think that gifts for entertainment lovers can’t include equipment? While they may be decked out already, there’s always room for improvement.
Let’s start with the streamers out there. I’m one. I gave up cable years ago and never looked back. So if there’s a streamer or wannabe streamer in your life, here are some quick gift ideas that will get them started.
HD Antenna
The first question is… how will I watch network TV? Since there are still a few good shows to watch on network TV, you’ll need an HD antenna. It’s as simple as plugging it into your TV and placing it near a window. And the ClearStream Eclipse Indoor HDTV Antenna has been ranked as one of the best. $39.99
Roku
Roku is what we use on all of our TVs. Think of it as the conduit between the internet and all your favorite streaming services. With Roku, you simply select which services you want to use on your TV, enter your subscription information, and GO! We use it for Netflix, Amazon Prime, hulu, HBO Go, and the CW streaming channel, among others. The latest and greatest is the Roku Ultra which is compatible with HD, 4K UHD, and HDR. $99.99
Amazon Firestick
Looking for some of the same basic capabilities without so many bells and whistles? You might want to check out the Amazon Firestick which plugs into your TV’s HDMI port (so make sure you have one!). Bonus: the Amazon Firestick also comes with a voice-activated remote! $39.99
Smart TV
If you need a TV, you can skip all the extras and go right for a Smart TV where all of this streaming capability is built in. My recommendation is this Samsung 55″ LED Smart TV. It’s 2160p and 4K Ultra HD TV. You definitely want at least 55″ and this is a fantastic price (not to mention I’ve personally owned Samsung TVs for years). Price varies.
Netflix subscription
I work regularly with Netflix and sometimes giveaway subscriptions to the service and it still amazes me that there are some people who don’t have Netflix! If you’re going to be a streamer, this is the one service you have to have. Netflix gift cards are available for regular or electronic delivery. Starting at $25.00
Movie Lovers
Now that we’ve got tech out of the way, you may think it’s not ever worth leaving home again for entertainment! You’re mostly right. That’s why I have gift options for homebodies and theater lovers alike.
Redbox
If staying home is your thing but you just can’t seem to find anything to watch out of your thousands of choices, you can grab something from Redbox when you make your next run to the store for popcorn. You can buy either an eGift card to reserve what you want OR you can buy promo codes that can be used right at the box. Pro tip: Buy lots of promo codes and use them as stocking stuffers! Starting at $5.00
Fandango
I used to work with Fandango and I can tell you that using their gift cards for movie tickets is super easy. If you have someone who still loves going to the theater (like me!) then consider a Fandango gift card (available by mail or email). Starts at $15.00.
AMC Theatres
You’ve got the tickets covered but how about concessions? With an AMC gift card (provided your gift recipient lives near an AMC theatre), they can either purchase tickets or load up on overpriced popcorn and sodas! Starting at $10.00
Baggallini Travel Tote
How is this entertainment-related? Well, let’s think outside the box. As any large-purse carrying woman knows, a nice travel tote is not only perfect for on-the-go trips but it’s also fantastic for bringing your own drinks and snacks into the theatre. (Come on, we all do it.) The Baggallini Travel Tote starts at just over $60.
Superfans
The one thing I’ve learned since starting an entertainment podcast and venturing more into the entertainment community is this. There is a superfan for just about anything out there. So if you have a superfan in your life, use your mad Google skills to find them something unique. If your superfan happens to fit in one of the categories, then I’ve given you a head start!
When it comes to gifts for entertainment lovers, never underestimate the power of a good t-shirt!
Stranger Things
You might have seen the fabulous Stranger Things t-shirt I was sporting on my birthday (my sister and I bought each other one). If you’re a fan of this tubular show, you need to show it with an awesome t-shirt. Here are 9 of my favorites.
From top to bottom, left to right:
- For all my Steve fans, there’s the Steve Fighting t-shirt
- It’s like Dig Dug and Stranger Things had a baby with this Merrills Farm t-shirt
- The Upside Down t-shirt – I love this design!
- Admittedly, I love this Upside Down t-shirt better.
- We could all use a Jim Hopper for President t-shirt right now.
- Oh, Dustin, we love you and this Dustin Pixel ringer t-shirt
- Look closely. It’s a Peanuts Meets Stranger Things t-shirt!
- Only the true fan will know what a Hawkins High School t-shirt means.
- Call it the smoke monster or giant spider, or just call it the Creepy t-shirt
Star Wars
Whether you’re old school or a newer fan, love the dark side or only the light, there is something out there for you. And I’ve found nine of those somethings.
From top to bottom, left to right:
- RIP Carrie Fisher (and probably Princess Leia) but this Leia the Riveter shirt inspires us
- Relentlessy Cheerful art from James Hance is something everyone should enjoy!
- You don’t have to love the dark side to love the Darth Vader Dangling Light Saber earrings.
- No matter what planet you’re on, the Rey Hooded Scarf will add some warmth.
- You can make a political statement and show your love of Star Wars with the Leia Resist shirt.
- I hate cutesy family stickers but I’ll tolerate the Star Wars Family Decals.
- Wedding bands for fans. You can decide who gets which one of the I Love You/I Know rings.
- Christmas, Merry it is. So celebrate with a Yoda Tree Topper.
- Jaws. Jawas. See what they did there? It’s a Star Wars Jawas shirt.
All the Rest of the Fandoms
Now you’re wondering where to fit all the other fandoms. Marvel, DC, Harry Potter, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones…
Yeah, there’s only so much time before Christmas. Here are a few of my favorite items to look at and then I’ll send you to my favorite sites for all your fan gear!
This Harry Potter bracelet from Alex and Ani. They also make one for the Deathly Hallows and the Sorting Hat!
The Walking Dead Cookbook with real survival tips and recipes for Dixon Stew and Carol’s Cookies. Together, we can survive.
I don’t even watch Game of Thrones but I still like the look of Jon Snow’s Backpack.
Not quite as good as my Wonder Woman necklace from AwesomeCon but still pretty good.

That John Snow backpack is awesome. I might have to pick that up for someone…
If only I knew who John Snow was…
I love the Star Wars family decal for the car window!
If I were to succumb to the family decals, that would be the one I would get!
