Kaffé Skincare is a series of anti-aging skincare products from Kaffé Cosmetics. They invited me to try a few of their products and I put it to the test for a short-term review.
Over 40 Skincare
When it comes to over 40 skincare, women really are their worst critics. I look in the mirror and see every fine line (although there’s nothing too fine about them anymore), every pore, every imperfection.
It’s not until you hear your friends saying, “your skin looks great” or a pal from high school remark that you look better now than you did four years ago (thank you, Timehop) that you might stop to think you’re doing something right. And if I am, it’s a miracle.
When I was young, I used whatever bar of soap was in the bathtub. When skincare started to matter (teen and college years), I fought off oily skin and breakouts like everyone else but I did it by drying out my skin and overproducing oil, only making things work.
It wasn’t until I hit my thirties that I realized I better start taking care of my skin. As I’ve gotten older, so had the price tag of my skincare. But I don’t buy expensive creams simple for the sake of their expense or their false promises.
I buy skincare products that have healthy ingredients (because they are being absorbed into my skin after all) and that work.
Spa-Tested Skincare Products
What works is different for every person but I tend to try products that I’ve been introduced to at a good spa or that have amazing reviews online. Why? Because I refuse to go to the expensive cosmetics counters at department stores where I’m paying for marketing and packaging more than ingredients.
Kaffé Skincare is what I would consider a luxury skincare brand, even though I’d never heard of them before they contacted me. As the name suggests, there is coffee involved in the making of their products, specifically Kona coffee, cultivated on the volcanic slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Okay, but why coffee? Is it the caffeine that stimulates my skin? Not exactly. Kaffé explains it on their site under what they call The Kaffé Story: Or How to Always Look Like You Just Came Back from a Hawaiian Vacation:
Studies have shown that coffee arabica seed oil can enhance the production of collagen and elastin, prevent moisture loss, and promote skin hydration, among a host of other healthy benefits. Other studies have found that the topical application of caffeine can protect against the effects of ultraviolet light on skin such as fine lines, wrinkles and dryness, not to mention mitigating the appearance of cellulite, reducing inflammation and redness in the skin, and improving the appearance of under-eye circles.
I’ve never been to Hawaii but I was pretty sure I’d look fabulous when I returned if I ever did go. So I put Kaffé Cosmetics to the test and tried two of their products for around three weeks (for the record, I always use beauty products for a minimum of two weeks before reviewing them).
KAFFÉ Anti Aging Protective Serum penetrates deep into the skin to absorb toxins and dirt to achieve a more youthful look. Coffee infused with Organic Argan oil brightens skin tone and lucidity in just weeks of application.
KAFFÉ Anti Aging Protective Cream is luminous day cream that removes signs of aging while improving the appearance of wrinkles, large pores, and fine lines.
The question is… did they work?
Here’s a quick video review to show you the specific results after several weeks of using it and seeing a clear before and after application of the products.
Just so you don’t think it’s all peaches and cream, here’s a quick rundown of what you need to know before trying Kaffe Cosmetics.
What You Need to Know About Kaffé Cosmetics
- Some might consider their products expensive. Each of the products I reviews is available on Amazon for $79 each. While it’s not a bargain, it’s certainly cheaper than some of the other products I’ve tried!
- There is no SPF in the moisturizer (protective cream) so you’ll need to use a separate product if you’re looking for sun protection.
- The serum is meant to be left on your face for ten minutes and rinsed before applying the moisturizer so plan your skincare regimen time accordingly!
- The cream has a faint smell of coffee, which I loved, but I swear you do not walk around feeling like you splashed your face with coffee!
- Both products are very lightweight but add sufficient moisture for “mature” skin. In the wintertime, I’d probably apply the products a little heavier and even use twice a day (in the summer, I only use them once a day).
- They have an ingredient list you can pronounce and understand!
I’m personally thrilled to have discovered this line of cosmetics and when I checked to see what other beauty reviewers had to say, I couldn’t find anything. That means it’s currently my little skincare secret but I’m happy to share it with you!
If you do decide to try anything from the Kaffé Cosmetics line, I hope you’ll let me know what you think.
Both products mentioned in this post were provided to me to facilitate this review. Affiliate links are also included above. All opinions stated are my honest and true feelings. I swear.

A skincare line made from coffee?! I’m all over that. Too bad it’s a bit out of my price range!
That’s why I review products!! Seriously, though, I don’t spend money on skincare for the sake of spending money. But I will spend it if I think it’s worth it and I can make it last anywhere from 6-12 months.

Problem is if you review something and really, really like it, then you have to keep buying it. LOL
So true I feel the same way I have to take into consideration what I could afford all the time if I like it not just cause it’s on sale at the time!!! I also feel like my face is priceless but again what can I afford after paying bills?
I bought this product for a bargain price of 4$ at an outlet store. I will be back to buy whatever they have left after your review. I love to try new products and have subscribed to Ipsy and boxy charm which gives me great products for a good price.
