Music to Make You Clean

I don’t like to clean. I’d like to meet the person who does. One of the things I want to focus on is ways to make your everyday life a little bit easier, a little greener, and a lot more fun. With that said, I spent the afternoon cleaning and prepping for a last minute visit from my brother-in-law.

I don’t pretend to be a neat freak. It’s not genetically possible for me. But I do try to keep a clean house…when company comes. I’d love to be writing this post about my fabulous housekeeper. Or a self cleaning bathroom. Instead, I’ll just share how I get through the drudgery of cleaning.

I put on music.

Here is my cleaning playlist criteria: you have to be able to sing to it or dance to it. It’s not about the quality or the hip factor of the music. It’s about songs that engage you so that you forget about the drudgery you are engaged in.

And now, I’m sharing with you my playlist to Help Me Clean.

I’ll admit. It helped me get through the kitchen clean-up. I might need to make a much longer playlist to help with the rest of the house. Tell me your favorite cleaning songs. What gets your groove going?

  1. I LOVE using Pandora as my music to clean by station. I created a Britany Spears/Justin Timberlake station, and it’s perfect for the drudge task of getting the house back in order.
