Did you ever read that post I did about sex?
No, of course you didn’t. Because I’ve never written a post about sex. I kind of follow my husband’s advice when he says, “Sex, as with success, should be kept private.”
But there is something we need to talk about.
When you hit the ripe old age of 11 (give or take), you probably noticed your body changing and were bombarded with material titled Your Changing Body. What you didn’t learn from that book, you probably learned from your friends.
Later in life, there is another shift where women could use a different book titled Your Changing Body. It’s when women start experiencing perimenopause. The thing is, this topic isn’t talked about much because it can make women feel uncomfortable. But that shouldn’t be the case because there’s something you can do about it!
Here’s what you and “your changing body” might be experiencing.
You might be having less sex.
You often read about women reaching their sexual prime in their 40s. But if you reach that point and you’ve been married for 20 years, there might not be anything that “prime” about it. It’s okay. You’re not alone.
When I recently visited the gynecologist for my annual exam, she asked about my sex life. And I said, “Well, I’ve been married a long time.” She said, “You wouldn’t believe how often I hear that.” And that made me feel a lot better.
As we get older, we might feel heavier or less attractive or just in a bad mood. Guess what? All normal.
You might need more sexual satisfaction.
It’s not about the frequency. It’s about the quality, right? But as we get older there are many things that can decrease our sexual drive. It might be everything I mentioned above or it might be that it’s more difficult to achieve orgasm.
Don’t blush. I know. I’ve never used the word orgasm on here before. But let’s be real. That’s a really important part of sex.
Ristela™ is a safe, hormone-free supplement that is clinically shown to enhance female sexual satisfaction. It uses a proprietary plant-based blend combining the powerful benefits of French Maritime pine bark extract, antioxidants and naturally-occurring amino acids.
So how does it work? The ingredients in Ristela are designed to increase blood flow and enhance sex drive and sexual satisfaction with daily use. In fact, these ingredients have been clinically shown to be safe and used by women in Europe for over 20 years.
Why do I feel like Europe gets all the good stuff first?

You might be experiencing that whole vaginal dryness thing.
Remember that whole changing body idea? As we get older, our estrogen levels drop which can lead to vaginal dryness.1 It’s so super common but it can wreak havoc for you. It can make you uncomfortable. It can make sex uncomfortable. But there are solutions!
Revaree® is an applicator-free vaginal insert designed to be used every 2-3 days. It provides powerful, hormone-free relief from vaginal dryness, with a vaginal insert that renews your body’s moisture.
And here’s the best part about Revaree. You know how I’ve talked about hyaluronic acid ad nauseum for the rejuvenating effect it has on my face? It’s one of the key ingredients in Revaree to hydrate and renew the vaginal tissue. Found naturally throughout the body, each molecule of hyaluronic acid attracts and retains up to 1,000 times its weight in moisture, healing thinning and damaged skin and keeping you comfortable.2 3

You might just be in a bad mood all the time.
The real detriment you might be facing, though, is your emotional state. With so many things changing in our bodies, we may find ourselves feeling like we’re in a permanent state of PMS. Guess what? Totally normal too. But that can affect our sex lives as well.
Remember when your teen went through those super moody years (or, if you’re like me, you’re just starting to experience them)? And you would roll your eyes and blame it on hormones. You can look in the mirror and do the same thing now.
Here’s my non-medical advice for helping your mood: try taking a B-complex vitamin daily, have your Vitamin D levels checked, get outside and get some exercise. Or when it feels too overwhelming, be sure to see a medical professional.4
Above all else, give yourself some grace. It’s no fun getting older but it’s a gentle reminder every day that we’re still here to live and love!
